Caterpillars Marks Tey is a long established Pre-School running from St Andrews Church Hall for 20 years. From September 2024, Caterpillars moved to our exciting new setting based in a building in the grounds of St Andrews School, CO6 1HL. Not only has this given us a permanent home , enabling us to expand the resources and activities available to the children, , we also have the use of the Forest school area.
Children and parents can continue to expect a caring friendly welcome, with high quality, experienced staff who have a range of skills to help your child learn their own identities through meaningful play.
Each of our children is on a learning journey and staff are sensitive to each individual child’s needs
and support them in every way.
Children aged 2 & over can attend the morning sessions until 12:30pm
Children aged 2.5 & over can attend for the full day

Opening Hours
Exciting News !!
From September 2026 we will be offering flexible drop off and pick up times ;
Drop off either 8:30am or 9am
Pick up times either 2:30pm or 3pm
Friday pick up time will remain at 1pm
Monday – Thursday
8:30am – 3:00pm
Friday – 8:30am-1pm
Caterpillars is a term time only preschool.
Our last day of term before the summer holidays will be Thursday 16th July 2026.
We will reopen on Monday 7th September 026
For our existing families – don’t forget it is our Sports day and leavers presentation on Wednesday 15th July 2026.
